It’s the 12th February and I’m about to meet Julian in Leicester on the last day of his UK tour. Julian is a Canadian, a Canadian of Mohawk and Caribbean descent, by his own description he is a mongrel, yet conversely with his dreadlocks and Fedora, he exudes more presence, character and pedigree than anyone else I’ve met for a long time.
